St. Ignatius School

Jesuit Middle School

Ways to Give

SIS must raise over $2M annually to support the school’s operating budget. It is only with the generous support of individuals and foundations that we are able to continue the school’s vital mission – providing a life-changing education for students who are most in need and most deserving.

SIS is a private, Catholic, Jesuit middle school sponsored by the USA Northeast Province of the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits), with an independent Board of Trustees, Jesuit Board of Members, and community of benefactors which fund 100% of SIS’s costs each year. SIS does not operate under the aegis of the Catholic Archdiocese of New York or the New York City Department of Education.

SIS is a 501(c)(3) organization – a non-profit organization with a dedicated mission and all donations are tax deductible. See our annual report.

Volunteer

Our primary priority for community involvement is securing funding for student scholarships. Many individuals and family foundations have found this to be a highly rewarding way in investing in a young person’s future and breaking the cycle of poverty through education. However, if you, or someone you know is looking to help change a young life, we are looking to recruit additional adult mentors and tutors to work directly with our students on-site each week at SIS.
